FAQs

• What are your opening hours?

  Standard play sessions run seven days a week: from 9am on weekdays and 9.30am at weekends. Weekday sessions last up to two hours and weekend sessions last 90 minutes. Please check live availability when booking, as opening arrangements may change around holidays, family events and private parties. Advance booking is always recommended because session capacity is limited.

• How can I pay?

  Small+Mighty is a cashless venue. Online bookings are paid for when reserved. Card payment may be possible at reception for walk-in visits, but entry cannot be guaranteed when a session is full, so advance booking is recommended.

• Where are you based?

  Small and Mighty is at the top of Godalming High Street just past the Pepper Pot. Godalming is just outside of Guildford in Surrey.

• Do I need to book in advance?

  Walk-in spaces may be available, but weekends, school holidays and special events can sell out. Booking online gives you the best choice and prevents a wasted journey. We cannot admit additional guests once a session reaches its safe capacity.

• Can I change my booking?

  Standard bookings may be moved subject to availability when you contact us at least 24 hours before the session. Party amendments are subject to the party booking terms and relevant notice period. Please include your booking reference when emailing the team.

• Do we need to wear socks?

  Yes. Shoes must be removed before entering the play areas and socks must be worn by adults and children throughout play. This helps us maintain a clean, hygienic environment, particularly for babies and children playing close to the floor. Socks are available to purchase at reception if needed.

• Is your space SEN-friendly?

  Small+Mighty has been designed with a cohesive colour palette, low-level LED lighting, tactile activities, soft furnishings and flexible sensory technology. Our interactive zone can also present gentler visual scenes with calming sound. Every child’s needs are different, so please contact us before visiting if you would like to discuss the environment, quieter session choices or a group visit.

• Is there space for buggies?

  Yes. Buggies can be left in the designated area near the front of the café, with limited space beside some tables. Please follow the team’s guidance so access routes remain clear.

• When are we open

  We are currently open seven days a week from 9am till 5.30pm. Our slots are 1.5hrs long and are bookable every half an hour depending on the capacity of the session. We also operate seasonal events outside these hours. We are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. Please see our Instagram for current updates to this. _Smallnmighty.

• Can we bring food?

  Food and drink purchased elsewhere cannot normally be consumed at Small+Mighty, helping us manage allergens and food hygiene. Exceptions may be agreed for baby food or an essential medical or dietary requirement. Please contact us before your visit so we can make a suitable plan.

• Cancellation & Refunds

  We operate a no refund policy at Small+Mighty in order to manage our capacity but we will move your session to a more convenient date or time subject to availability and when you request this 24hours before your session. We are unable to do this without 24 hours notice as we would unlikely be able to resell your session. Please contact us on hello@smallandmighty.club

• Getting here

  South Street car park, GU7 1AJ, is the closest public car park, with Mill Lane and Mint Street car parks also nearby. Godalming railway station is a short walk away and the Pepperpot bus stop is close to the venue. Please check local signs or the relevant operator for current charges and restrictions.

• What ages is Small+Mighty designed for?

  Small+Mighty is designed primarily for babies, toddlers and young children under six. Individual play areas have their own age or developmental guidance, including a protected Baby Zone for pre-walkers. Older siblings are welcome in the cafe but must follow the displayed restrictions for each play area.

• Are parents required to attend children’s parties?

  The parent(s)/guardian(s) of the party child are required to stay on site throughout the party. The party guests’ parents are welcome to stay if they wish.

• Do you welcome schools, nurseries and groups?

  Yes. We offer group visits and selected hire options for nurseries, schools and family services. Contact the team with your preferred date, group size, children’s ages and any access requirements so we can recommend the most suitable arrangement.

• Classes

  We partner with local class providers to offer children and adults family-focused classes. From music to crafts, wellness, and cookery our space is perfect to enjoy a social class-based activity.

• Booking

  You can book your slot on our website. Our slots are 1.5hrs long and are bookable every half an hour depending on the capacity of the session. We require all visitors to be added to your booking so that we can manage capacity and seat people appropriately. We have three ticket types for newborns, children and adults. Children over 10 should be added as an aditional adult ticket.

• What’s your capacity?

  We have a maximum capacity of 60 people in any session.

• How do memberships work?

  Your membership is limited to up to one visit per day. You will not be entering into a yearly commitment or contract and you can cancel at any time during the term with your four weeks written notice, as long as it covers the amount of sessions you have attended. For more information contact us on hello@smallandmighty.club You are not permitted to share your membership with anyone who isn’t named on your membership, this will result in your membership being declined.

• What’s on the menu?

  The Small and Mighty cafe operates a healthy and inclusive seasonal menu. We reccomend ordering your food within half an hour of your arrival in order to ensure sufficient time to eat. Choose from colourful salads and fruit bowls to delicious sandwiches, soups and local bread. We offer a range of cakes, pastries, and savouries with gluten and dairy free options as well as plenty of choice for vegans and vegetarians. We have an ice cream bar with delicious fresh toppings as well as the most amazing local barista made coffee.

• Accessibility and additional support

  If you need additional space, step-free assistance or support entering the venue, please contact us before your visit. We may be able to arrange access from the rear of the building and offer practical assistance based on your needs. Our team will be pleased to talk through the environment so you can decide whether it is suitable for your family.
